Such A Good Time

Camp Meeting ended on Friday. We came home early because of revival services this past weekend at our church. It took me all day yesterday to recover (although I did have to do 5 loads of laundry.) We had such a good time at camp meeting. The messages were on target. The food was not bad at all and we had an air conditioner in our room. Hallelujah! Revival services at the Lighthouse were great. Bro. John Owens from Rhode Island preached on Sunday and did great. My husband preached on Saturday and did great. And Bro. Sam preached on Friday night and it was a great message as well.

In other news I've been trying to get this apartment in order... It is coming together slowly. And I really need to apply for some jobs so that I can keep my unemployment. But more importantly, get a job!

I did tell the hubby that I need a vacation though... sure getting away from home was a vacation but I need a vacation from that. :)

Have a happy night,

Family Camp -Thursday Update

Hey everyone,
Thanks for being patient around here. I haven't updated because we have been at camp meeting all week. We came down here to Kentucky District UPCI Family Camp meeting for a little vacation. Well, hubby is getting vacation pay. Bro. Paul Mooney from IN and Bro. Scott Graham from MO have been wonderful. I've been enjoying the preaching and teaching! We are leaving tomorrow after the District Business meeting which hubby is sitting in on. I may take a peek into the Children's Church service while he is in that meeting. It seems like all the Children are having a lot of fun. I could catch some of Bro. Graham's bible study in the morning... but I may just go back up to the room after Breakfast and get stuff packed up for our ride home.

We will be back in town tomorrow night. We are having revival services at the Lighthouse. Tomorrow night Bro. Diedenhofer (our assistant pastor) is preaching. Saturday, my wonderful hubby is preaching and Sunday morning, Bro. John Owens from Rhode Island is preaching. You are invited. Please come if you are in the area.

I am gonna get a book tonight at Pentecostal Publishing House that is set up in the back of the tabernacle... so maybe I'll read that on the way home :) Well, this netbook is about to lose power so I better go for now. I'll update a little later.

Have a happy day,

Can You Say Ouchie!

So, Tuesday was a big day for me. I had a doctor appointment at 8 AM, then went to breakfast at Bob Evans and then from there I went over to my in-laws place to pull weeds for them because my MIL has a broken foot and can't do it right now. So, FIL said he'd pay me for doing it. There was tons of thistle to pull. Took me an hour to do the whole yard. I am hurting! The back of my legs and some of my back muscles are so sore from the way I was bending to pull! The thing is that it could be worse; however luckily I did remember to wear sunblock! So no sun burn for me!

So, the doctor appointment consisted of some good news. My A1C is lower! and so are my triglycerides and cholesterol. But, it still isn't controlled. I have to lose 20 lbs by September. And those numbers that are lower need to go even farther down. I know I can do this. It just takes control and determination! Plus she started that whatever I need to place in front of me as a motivator to do so... and I have a couple of things that I see as motivation. I can do this.

Yesterday, I wasn't feeling all that good and laid down for most of the day that is why I didn't end up blogging. Bad, I know - but it happens.

Hope you like the new blog name and design... my hubby helped me come up with the name. But it was also something that was written on a binder of mine that I recently found from my High School days that helped us come up with it! Like a Rock LOL And I came up with the tagline :D

Well, gonna go see what I can get into.

Have a happy day,

Not That Busy Today

So, I was too tired to blog last night and went to bed kinda earlier than what I would normally do! I was trying to think of something to blog quickly and ended up not wanting to blog because of the effort it would take. Haha.

Yesterday was a day spent at church and an afternoon spent with a cpl of friends from church. I had 4 visitors in my Sunday School class yesterday morning. I hope they come back next Sunday. I gave them a challenge and sure hope that I see them. I heard my Hubby did a great job with the preaching in the Sanctuary... I know that he titled it "Return to Bethel" but haven't listened to it yet.

So, after SS we went with Tiffhanie and Chris to Hot Head Burritos for some lunch. And then after that we went to Cold Stone Creamery for some ice cream. Hubby was upset that we went there because we are trying to save some money since I have been laid off from the IRS. But, it was worth it cause the ice cream was so good. I got Chocolate Hazelnut with some roasted almonds and fudge ;)

We stopped off at the house for hubby to get the charge for his Macbook and then headed back to the church. I made a flyer for the final Block Party that we are having on Friday and then started one for the revival that we are having at the end of June and he finished it. Church was great Sunday Night. And so was the fellowship afterwards outside of Bro. Mike and Sis. Vicki's place. Hubby joined in on a water gun fight! I got squirted in the process while trying to protect Sis. Deb's granddaughter Angel. It was fun. Hubby said he had a blast and said it like twice so that is pretty genuine :)

So, I haven't been doing much today. Cleaned up around this apartment a little and that is about it. I did pay some bills and will look further at the bills here in a few. Noticed that my last check from the IRS has made it into the new direct deposit I assigned it to (we switched banks.) Gotta love bills!

I am so thankful for this time off though. It gets me thinking and planning and dreaming :-D
Hubby is on vacation next week and well so am I. Haha. I think we are just going to do Family Camp. So, we will see how that goes. I am not sure. I guess I'll have to talk to him about that tonight. He should be home within an hour!

Guess I better start looking at the other bills...

Until later,

So, I am finally getting my blog the way I want it for now... I am currently working on a website (which my hubby's help of course) as well. That will be interesting, I think I am going to tie my blog into that some how... :)

We had a nice day today. We went to the church bright and early because the men were having a men's prayer and breakfast. I helped my wonderful Pastor's Wife in the kitchen... Thanks to Sis. Deb for the Gravy and Amish Sweet Rolls that she made. It made me and my Pastor's Wife's job a whole lot easier in not having to cook gravy. So the menu this morning was
Fresh Fruit (Cantaloupe, Strawberries and Pineapple),
Biscuits (Bought at Sams Club-They were Pillsbury already baked just heat. They almost burnt because the paper bottom that is supposed to be able to be put in the oven started burning.. It was hilarious seeing Sis. Smith try to pull them out of the oven. She said she was going to contact Pillsbury. We had a good laugh. They were a little crisp!)
Sausage Gravy
Scrambled Eggs
Sausage Links and Patties
Amish Sweet Rolls

It turned out lovely and I heard that our Presbyter of Section U did a wonderful job bringing forth a message before the Prayer. Glad to hear that and glad that Bro. Eades could make it to the Lighthouse.

After we cleaned up, we left and followed Pastor and his Wife to their condo and got something that we were needing to get. Then we departed and came home for a few hours. Travis took a nap... I didn't which is weird because normally that would be me.... HA! I played around on this Netbook.

He got up and we got ready and left for Sharonville. Went to MicroCenter to return his Sony E-reader. He is going to get a Motorola XOOM. We ended up getting me a new Processor, Motherboard and Ram because my computer died... that is why I am using my little Toshiba netbook! Can't wait until it is fixed. I think I am going to try Linux on it and see how I like it.

We went to Firehouse Subs and I really enjoyed it! I didn't try any of the hot sauces though... Next time, I will. I love love love their drink station. It has over 100 drinks that you could get. I had Raspberry Coke Zero and it was GLORIOUS! I also had their Cherry Coke Zero and Cherry Limeade but that really isn't as different and worth blogging as the amazing Raspberry!!!! I recommend them! 2 Thumbs Up. I had the 12inch Club on Wheat if you are wondering what sub I got.

We left there and went back to the church and prayed for a good 30 minutes. Travis felt the urge to pray at church since he is speaking about "Bethel" in the morning. We went over to our friends Vicki and Mike's house afterwards to say Hi and that we had been missing them at church. They hadn't been there for 3 services or so, so we thought that we would stop by. It was nice fellowship and we will see them in the morning. Visit Bro. Mike and Bro. McKenzie's Youtube clip to hear them sing and some of the inside of our church HERE.

So, now we have been home for 4 hours or so. I have studied my lesson for in the morning. Teaching on Praying for Meekness and also about not having Jealousy in their hearts to my Pre-Teens. We should be getting ready for bed shortly, although I know my handsome hubby is still studying for his sermon in the morning.

I leave you with this photo of us from this Easter! He is too cute. Love this Man!

Have A Happy Day,
