Still Here

I haven't forgot about my blog! Just wanted you to know. I just haven't had anything to really update. Hopefully, that will change soon! Haha.

Have a happy nite,

I am determined to do this... I can see some changes in my sugars already! But of course that is going to happen if you are watching what you eat and exercise, which I should have been doing all along.

I've got to go grocery shopping. But, I am finding that I am not wanting to make some of the recipes that I am seeing. It just isn't me. I am used to comfort foods! And most comfort foods are easy to make. I hate the diabetic recipes that have like 20 ingredients. I mean really can I just have some recipes that are 4-5 ingredients?

So, I am headed out to church here in a few minutes. But right before getting ready, I did a pretty intense (for me) work-out and then ate a late lunch. Exercising does make you feel good. Although, I've got pain in my side now...LOL

Well, that is all for now!

Have a happy day,

I hate the smell of...

So, today I had my 3-month appt with my diabetes doctor. Good news is that my A1C is lower. It went from 8.3 to 7.9 but the bad news is that it is still too high. It is ideal to have it under 7.0. So, we went over a few things and she stated that I am maxed out on all my meds and we have got to get my sugar level down. Obviously. I've also got elevated blood pressure and of course my triglycerides and cholesterol are still high. They should lower once my sugars are under control and I lose the weight. So, the only choice was to put me on insulin. And I hate the smell of it :( I took my first dose tonight at 11. It has honestly made me sick. Not because of the medicine but because of the smell. haha. I guess I'll see how my sugar reacted in the morning.

So, I am taking advantage of SparkPeople. I signed up before and never got the hang of it and deleted it and then created a new acct back in September. I've just now finished my SparkPage and my first blog entry over there. If you are on SparkPeople please add me as a SparkFriend! I am going to be blogging over there about my weight, what I eat, my sugars, whatever else I feel like doing. I hope I can use this tool as effective as possible! I want to meet my goals.

Also, I want to plan more, make a routine and stick with it. The diabetes educator said today "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail." I don't want to do that and when you think about that quote. There is a lot of truth to it. So here is hoping that I can stick with my routine and accomplish my goals. *raises an 8 oz. bottle of water*

So that is my lovely news for today! Hopefully it will be something less depressing tomorrow.

Have a happy nite,

Carefree® Acti-Fresh™ Liners Review

These liners are just as good as the other Carefree® liners. One nice thing about these is that they are such a nice adhesive backing that you do not have to worry about them moving at all on your undergarment. You can be free to exercise, play with you kids, and not have to worry. Also, when wearing this liner I noticed that I did feel fresh throughout the time worn. This is a product that I can wear every day and not just doing that time of the month. I didn't wear the liners doing my cycle but for someone who is just spotting or has a very light cycle this liner would work for them. Extremely Thin and absorbent. Also, I noticed that the liner is a cotton feel so it feels just as soft as panties would feel! That is always a plus because no one likes to feel uncomfortable. So, try them out if you haven't or don't already! You can usually get this brand pretty cheap when using a coupon at purchase :-)

Disclosure: I received free product for review purposes from CAREFREE®. The opinions I have given are mine and may differ from others. My opinions were not influenced by the company or the free product provided.

Have A Happy Day,

Getting Rid Of Stuff That Is Not Necessary

First off, we got snow today. Bleck! It can just go away. I don't want it. I don't want it!!

So, I came across something on Pinterest (love it, if you don't have an account, I'd send you an invite!) Anyways, it is a blog and on this blog the lady has a calender for the whole year and it is for decluttering! I am going to start tomorrow on it since I didn't get the chance to today. The calender for January can be found: Here

I don't know how well this is going to go because I am so attached to some things even when I know that I won't use them. But, I got rid of a ton of clothes that I was holding on to for no reason. I guess I thought I would lose the weight and be able to wear them. Well, I gave them away to a family who could wear them. If I end up lose the weight, I'll just buy a new wardrobe! So, wish me luck!

Leave me a comment letting me know some of your best tips in decluttering. Obviously, the first thing that I can see from that website is doing it one day at a time!

Have a happy nite,

There are like 3 minutes left in this first day of 2012 and I just want to say Happy New Year to everyone!!!

I am going to be reading the whole bible through this year! I failed in doing so last year but this year I am going to try to read it all the way through within these first 90 days! Here is a link if you'd like to join me!

That is all for tonight!

Have a happy night,
